Superstock riders finish in top five at Brands Hatch
The G&S Racing Kawasaki team enjoyed a productive end to the season with all three riders recording strong results.
The two Superstock 600 riders TJ Toms and Kevin Keyes were exceptional in their race on Sunday - finishing second and fifth respectively - while Milo Ward rode well to complete his race in the Stock 1000 class in 16th position.
The Pirelli Superstock 600 race was highly competitive with both G&S riders in the mix for the win.
Keyes held the lead for a few laps mid-race and there was just half a second separating the top six riders with positions exchanged on every lap.
Toms moved between third and fifth during the race but on the final lap managed to get his Kawasaki up into second place for the second time this campaign.
Toms ends his campaign in sixth place on 130 points while Keyes is eighth on 85.
Ward had been running well in the top 15 during free practice but was caught out in qualifying with the tricky conditions and forced to start from the ninth row.
He got away to a good start but the race was halted for a crash and he had it all to do again.
Ward made good progress and was very near to a point-scoring position but was unable to make a pass stick and completed the race in 16th place.
Team manager Tom Fisher said: "What an awesome end to a brilliant season we had at Brands Hatch.
"All three riders excelled themselves and the Stock 600 race was by far the best and closest race of the day.
"TJ has done a cracking job this year and scored points in every race while Kevin just had a couple of DNFs but brought the team their first win in the series.
"He raced under extremely difficult conditions this year and I am proud of the way he came through it.
"Milo has come on in leaps and bounds in his first year on the big bike and shaved another second from his personal lap time this weekend.
"But for the tricky conditions during qualifying he would have started the race in around 15th place and could easily have been looking at a top-10 result.
"We also supported a young Irish lad Oisin Maher who made his debut in the Junior Supersport Championship at Donington Park.
"He finished his race at Brands Hatch in a creditable 14th position, shaving a massive six seconds from his personal best lap time."
Team owner Mark Fisher added: "Our team has done a great job this year - all of our riders have been exceptional plus we have secured our first race win with Kevin.
"Tom has done a great job as team manager and I am proud of him, all the riders and support crew who have worked so hard this year.
"Thanks to all our loyal sponsors for their continued support as without them we would not be in this position. It’s been a great season with some impressive results."
The team now head to Bishopscourt in Ireland where Toms and Keyes will be riding at the Sunflower Trophy meeting. They will be joined by Tom Fisher who will be riding Ward’s bike.
