Spalding’s annual under-25 singles bowls tournament will be played at the Castle Sports Complex on Saturday from 11am.
The event has again been sponsored by Stonehaven Residential Home, Quadring.
The matches are played to the quick-fire premier threes format with the best of three sets, each being the best of three ends.
Some of the best under-25 players in the country will be on show, including Spalding’s junior internationals Ruby Hill, Chelsea Tomlin and Jordan Philpott plus Daniel Seabourne from Acle and Connor Cinato of Kingsthorpe who both played at the World Championships in January.
Play will be continuous all day with knockout stages following the round-robin group format. Refreshments are available and entry is free.
Meanwhile, Hill and Tomlin won both their matches to help England secure the Junior Women’s International Series held in Paisley, Scotland.
Tomlin skipped a rink for the first time, which included Hill making her debut, as they beat Wales (32-13) and Scotland (21-13).
The overall scoring saw England take 14 match points to Scotland’s 10 with Wales failing to win any rink points.
