Long Sutton goalkeeper Lorraine Wallis helped England to bring back silver medals from the Masters World Cup in Australia.
The campaign got under way with wins against the USA (2-0) and Wales (4-0).
The next game against Wattles (an Australian second 11) ended 1-1.
Next up were favourites Australia who won with an early goal.
England beat New Zealand 5-0 in the final pool game.
Wallis said: “Unfortunately, the final was played at 2.20pm and the weather favoured the Aussies with temperatures reaching 31 degrees.
“We battled hard but have to say that we lost to the better team. The final score was 4-1, so it was to be the silver medal.
“As my family were in Australia with me, we left Canberra and travelled to Sydney where we had eight days before returning home from what had been a truly amazing experience.”
