Four members of Tydd St Giles Golf Club will play four rounds of golf on four courses in four counties in just one day to raise money for charity.

The Macmillan Cancer Support Longest Day Golf Challenge on Saturday will see team captain Mark Whittaker, Malcolm Stead, Ian Edrupt and Neil John begin their task before 4am at Sutton Bridge.

They will then move on to their home course at Tydd St Giles followed by a round at Feltwell in Norfolk before finishing at the Suffolk Golf Club before dark.

They will be helped by Gail Edrupt, Luke Stanford, Andy Morris, Paul Amos and Andy Jackson who will attend the courses while the rounds are being played to raise as much money as possible.

The fundraising has been boosted by the four golf clubs who are giving courtesy or reduced green fees.
