Spalding Triathlon Club ace Charlotte Taylor was the first woman home at the Blithfield (standard distance) Triathlon.
Based around the picturesque village of Abbots Bromley, the event saw competitors take on a a 1,500 m open water swim and a hilly and technical 40 km bike course, before finishing with a 10 km run.
Taylor blasted through the field to leave most of the competitors in her wake - including a host of men.
She was 12th overall in a top time of 2.19.09hrs.
Two other Spalding athletes were competing at the same venue in the English National Sprint Championships.
Nick Grimer and Alistair Rudd both came fifth in their respective age categories to complete a successful event for Spalding Tri.
Rudd finished in a time of 1.15.24hrs.
• Spalding Tri continued their fantastic year with more great results at the East Midlands Adult Series.
Each competitor had to complete at least three of nine possible events, comprising of sprint and Olympic distance events.
Spalding grabbed an impressive four first places out of 13 age categories. The winners were Callum McPartlin (M20-24), Alistair Rudd (M50-54), Mike Staines (M55-59) and Angela McGill (F40-44).
• Spalding Tri’s Steve Allard finished the gruelling Ironman UK event in a time of 15.47.44hrs.
• Kelly Olsen and Helen Purdy completed the Ride London 100 in times of 8.41.27hrs and 7.34.27hrs respectively.
