SUPERMOTO speed merchants Lee and Ryan Rudd put in performances to be proud off at Mettet over the weekend.

The Holbeach duo, representing Team TRM, had to contend with atrocious weather throughout their stay in Belgium – but they didn’t let it affect their performance.

Up against a massive field from across the globe, neither qualified for the final.

However, in the official timed practice part of the weekend, Lee’s best showing was an impressive 19th, while youngster Ryan clocked in 41st in the opener and improved to 34th in his second attempt.

Next up was the ‘Last Chance’ event, that saw the TRM aces split up into different races.

Needing to place 12th or better to make the final, the duo both placed 17th.

Their final race was the appropriately named ‘Super Last Chance’ event, with only the top two making it through.

The Rudd duo were drawn in incredibly tough heats, with Ryan taking a fine ninth and Lee a solid tenth.

Both were happy with their weekend, especially Ryan, who competed at the European venue for the first time.

He is back in action this weekend too, as he and younger brother Ashley Rudd compete in an ACU event at Louth.
