Stock car fever comes to the Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn on Saturday (5pm) with the world semi-final for the F2 class and the world final for the 1300cc drivers.

For the first time in the sport’s 50-year history, the world series for F2 takes place exclusively on shale with the final at Mildenhall next month.

Veteran racer Carl Issitt (Sutton St James) will start one of the semi-finals on the front row as a massive favourite to land top honours. Steve Wycherley (Holbeach) and Barry Clow (Spalding) will also be hoping to progress to the world final.

Meanwhile, Pinchbeck driver Dan Booth has had a fantastic year in the 1300 stock cars to earn a row four spot in the big race. Spalding’s Tommy Aylward will also be on the grid.
