LONG Sutton are this year’s winners of the Cliff Hall Memorial Shield after producing a cracking display in Friday night’s final.
The talented quintet of Adam Barwell, Matthew Smith, Sean Swinburn, Mick Cooper and Stuart Atkin roared to a 5-1 final triumph over Skegness at Donington.
Frame wins came from Swinburn, Smith, Cooper and Atkin – with the latter two edging very close matches with M Pickworth and S Runkin respectively.
Skegness did manage to pick up one frame through K Willets, but Sutton proved to be too strong.
The highest break in the competition was scored by Donington player Richard Holstead (59).
