The Holbeach youngsters were in action at the Peterborough Junior Moto-Cross Club meeting with Ashley winning overall, thanks to some superb starts.

After a steady first day, with two seconds followed by a fifth – where he crashed – the teenager really found his form on Sunday when he took the holeshot award – given for hitting the first bend in front – in all three races.

Those races produced a second and then two wins as the teenager came out on top overall.

Ryan took the holeshot in all three races on day one, going on to finish fifth, sixth (when suffering a puncture) and third.

He was fifth in his opener on day two and fourth in his other two races as he ended the meeting in fifth.

Kieran, competing in the junior 65cc category, began the opening day of the two-day meeting with a fourth place before finishing fifth next time out despite a crash.

The youngster then stormed to victory in his final race of the day before making a flying start to day two.

The talented nine-year-old took the holeshot award in his opener before going on to finish third and he followed up with a second place in his next outing.

His final race of the weekend saw him finish fourth, despite suffering his second crash.

That was enough to give him third place overall.
