Deepings swimmers came home from this year’s 65th County Championships with more than 40 gold medals.

For a third year, the club set new highs with over 100 medals being won.

They had two county champions, one junior champion, 19 age group winners, 250 personal bests, 33 Midland qualifying times, seven club records and six county records.

Re-writing the club records books were Olivia Lee, Tom Adams, Tom Neal, Alex Wray and Lauren Wray by setting 25 new club records between them.

County records went to Lee in the 50m breaststroke, Lauren Wray (50m, 200m backstroke and 400m IM) and Alex Wray for the 50m freestyle.

Alex Wray became countychampion in both the 50m and 100m freestyle while sister Lauren won the 200 back, 400 and 200 IM.

Tom Neal became junior champion in the 100m backstroke.
