PYRAMID B rounded off super season for the Bourne club by sewing up second place in the Spalding and District Billiards League.

Having seen their C team land the title, Pyramid B sealed the runners-up position by beating Holbeach A 5-2 on the final day of the season.

Martin O’Connor (R40) hit a 25 break for the Bourne side, who finish 20 points behind the champions.

BSC A finish a further three points back in third after a 5-2 win of their own. Alan Yardley (scr) ended his campaign with a flourish, making breaks of 45 and 32 against Holbeach B.

Another man finishing on-song was Rob Childs (O200).

He hit a super 72 as well as offerings of 55, 45 and 35 as Crowland B saw off Consti C 5-2 – securing fourth spot in the process.

Crowland A complete the top five – having beaten the champions 5-2. Derek Tinkler (O20) trousered breaks of 33 and 28 as Pyramid C were beaten for only the fifth time.
