BOTH Fenway sides steamed into the Knockout Cup semi-finals in Hart-Marler Spalding and District Thursday League.

Division A side Fenway B made light work of getting past Division B high-fliers Jolly Farmer. B White, J Kingston and M Gordon quickly put the Spalding side 3-0 up in Moulton Chapel.

P Fox and L Smith got Jolly Farmer up and running to pull it back to 3-2 but Jamie Juckes restored a two-frame lead for Fenway B, who then took two of the three doubles games.

Fenway/SHC knocked out Abbey Hotel A. Father and son Martin and Glenn Perkins put the Spalding side 2-0 up before Ben Copland and Gary Miesal squared matters.

Pete Wright and R Callaby then gave Fenway/SHC breathing space at 4-2 and it was all over when Wright and Glenn Perkins teamed up to take the first doubles game.

Meanwhile, Castle A dropped just one game as they cruised into the last four.

The 5-1 defeat of Bell was sealed with wins for N Skinner, A Coxon, J Bennett, S Coxon and C Brewster. Chris Hall grabbed the Gosberton side’s consolation.
