Spalding Golf Club’s Dianne Platt and Pat West are going for glory next week in the English Senior Women’s Championship.

They are both in action during the first national championship of the year which takes place at Woodhall Spa, the home of England Golf, on the Bracken course.

The tee-off times for the first round on Tuesday are 8.10am for Platt and 10.40am for West.

The second round on Wednesday will see West in action from 8am and Platt starting at 10.50am.

All competitors will play 18 holes stroke play on each of the first two days of the championship.

The top 16 players will go forward to the champ-ionship matchplay and the next 16 will contest the second flight. The finals of both flights will be played on Friday afternoon.

West is captain of the England senior women’s team who were invincible last season as they became European champions and also won their Home Internationals.
