Velo-One rider Neil Palmer continued to build his form with a personal best at Team Swift’s 10-mile time trial on the V718 course at South Cave, East Yorkshire.
A 30.7mph average over the course delivered a time of 19 mins 51 secs for the Spalding man, completing one of his season’s targets of a sub-20.
Meanwhile, Sleaford Wheelers’ first evening time trial was held on a shorter Osbournby eight-mile course due to early season restrictions in daylight.
Palmer and Bourne’s Antony Gough posted first and third fastest times of the evening with 16:58 and 17:40 respectively.
Earl Taylor made his time trial debut for Velo-One, posting a time of 18:37 (6th) while Nick Millward and Dan Carr couldn’t be split at 19:59 (11th).
