Spalding High School played host to 198 pupils from across the county as a host of primary schools battled it out in the school games netball competition.
Long Sutton ‘A’ were the eventual winners in the 16-team ‘large school’ competition. Both they and and Bourne Abbey A – who finished second – will now advance to the Lincolnshire Winter School Games in Grantham to represent the South Lincs region. There was also a six-team ‘small school’ competition, which was won by Tydd St Mary A. School Games Organiser Rupert Gibson said: “I was delighted to have 22 teams from 14 schools in attendance. We also had six teams from very small schools and 16 from larger schools who had separate competitions. “The 31 fantastic sports leaders from Spalding High School did a brilliant job umpiring, managing and officiating all of the games.”
