BEN Wilson is determined to deliver a strong showing as he travels to Snetterton for round four of the Motorpoint British Supersport Championship this weekend.
The Kirton rider is chasing a pair of top finishes in Norfolk as he bids to keep himself in touch with series leader Jack Kennedy, who holds an slender eight and a half point advantage at the top of standings.
Last year Wilson scored two second places at Snetterton – a feat he also achieved last time out – and he’s anxious to better that this time around.
But it won’t be an easy task for the 30-year-old Gearlink Kawasaki rider, as the competition will be tough – with at least half a dozen other riders all out for the same result.
Nonetheless, Wilson is up for the challenge and raring to go. He said: “The championship is very close this year and there will be a number of riders all clamouring for the win at Snetterton, me included.
“It all makes for a couple of exciting and close races for the fans and I intend to be up there in the mix both times.”
Free practice starts tomorrow (Friday), with the solitary half hour qualifying session due on track at 11am on Saturday.
The first race to be run over ten laps will take place later on Saturday (3.45pm), with the feature race over 15 laps of the near-three mile course is set for 3.45pm on Sunday.
