RELENTLESS Ben Stafford enjoyed another weekend to remember as he continues to dominate the 250cc Norasport British Supermoto Championship.
The D3-Racing KTM rider roared to two wins out of three at the Three Sisters circuit at Wigan last on Saturday, as he stayed on course for the 250cc title.
After taking pole for the fourth time in successive meetings, South Holland rider Stafford won the first two races before making a mistake on the dirt section of the finale.
He went down and lost time freeing off a jammed throttle – but still managed to remount and finish the race in fifth place.
Waking to a wet track for Sunday’s Open Elite Class, Stafford showed his determination by qualifying 12th out of 23 riders on his smaller 250cc machine.
Stafford competed in three highly competitive races in this group and battled all the way with a good display of skill and determination.
Despite the horsepower deficit, he pulled off some excellent overtaking manoeuvres and finished tenth, eighth and 13th in his trio of outings.
He continues his 250cc title battle at Blyton in four week’s time, but will be riding this weekend the ‘invitation only’ British Masters meet at Silverstone.
Stafford will rub shoulders with some of the best racers in the business, as his race will be run at the same time as the Moto GP.
