BEN Wilson goes in search of his first win of the British Supersport season at round six of the championship this weekend.
He travels to Oulton Park in fifth place in the overall rider standings, but will be hoping for a second impressive showing of the campaign at the Cheshire track.
At his previous visit back in May, Kirton rider Wilson scored a brace of second places. A similar result this time around would help the Gearlink Kawasaki ace climb the rider standings.
This year the competition is very tough – and subsequently Wilson has yet to step onto the top of the podium.
He said: “I really do need to get a win under my belt and with Oulton Park being one of my more favoured circuits, perhaps this is the time for me to secure my first win.
“We have been there or thereabouts all year, but so far the wins haven’t come my way. I will be going all out to change this at the weekend and, if things go to plan, I will move back into the top three in the rider standings.”
There are two free practice sessions on Friday ahead of the solitary qualifying laps on Saturday morning at (10.15am).
The sprint race over ten laps is due to commence at 4pm on Saturday, with the 15-lap feature scheduled to start at 3.45pm on Sunday.
