BEN Wilson reckons he’ll need to be at his absolute best if he’s to continue his remarkable winning streak in the Fuchs Silkolene British Supersport Championship this weekend.
The Kirton ace has a massive 39-point lead over second-placed Jack Kennedy after storming to victory in five of the first six races of the campaign.
However, despite having ‘home advantage’ at Thruxton over the Bank Holiday weekend, the Gearlink Kawasaki rider is taking little for granted.
Wilson said: “Thruxton is very fast and bumpy and I realise it will be a difficult task for me to maintain my winning streak.
“The competition is really fierce out there this year and I will have to pull something special out of the bag.”
As is the norm this season, he will take part in two races at the Hampshire circuit, which is based half an hour from Gearlink Kawasaki’s HQ.
The first is a sprint race on Sunday, followed by the feature race on Monday.
