TEAM TRM had plenty to cheer at Sculthorpe on Sunday as brothers Kieran, Ashley and Ryan Rudd managed fine finishes.
The Holbeach trio were up against the elements as well as their opponents at the Norfolk MXC motocross meet, as heavy rain peppered the track in the closing stages of the day.
Not that it affected defiant seven-year-old Kieran, who once again showed great promise in the Autos.
A crash on the final corner saw him slip from second to third place in the opener – a finish he matched in the second outing.
The young gun went one better in the rain-hit finale, storming to second spot to take the runners-up prize overall behind a much older racer.
Elder brother Ashley was a model of consistency in the Small Wheel group, racking up a deserved trio of second places.
That made the 13-year-old second overall, which represented an excellent day for the high-octance rider.
Up in the Schoolboy section, the oldest Rudd sibling Ryan had a super day.
In an incredibly tough field of more than 20 riders, the 16-year-old took a seventh place and two sixths to clinch sixth overall.
With his final two races taking place in the rain, the team were delighted with his efforts.
Meanwhile, Lee Rudd was in supermoto action at Rednal, finishing inside the Elite group’s top 15.
