ROARING Ryan Rudd stormed to a hat-trick of wins at the first round of the Peterborough Motocross Club’s winter series at Chatteris.
The talented teen, who was again racing for Holbeach-based Team TRM, bossed the Schoolboy 125 category from start to finish. He got the holeshot in all three races and cashed in with a clean-sweep of successes.
His younger brothers Ashley and Kieran Rudd were also in action for Team TRM, but both suffered a few problems.
Competing in the Big Wheel section, Ashley was hampered by technical issues and did well to take finishes of fifth, sixth and fifth.
He’s hoping for better at rounds two and three.
Meanwhile, young gun Kieran was feeling a bit under the weather – but still managed a string of solid showings in the Autos group.
He started with a fourth, before taking sixth and eighth. His progress in the finale wasn’t helped by an untimely crash. The second round of the series is on October 14, with the Rudd trio now set for a rare weekend away from the track.
