The testing Olympic MTB Course at Hadleigh Farm was the venue for the fourth round of Mud Sweat and Gears MTB XC League.

Competing on a hilly and technically demanding course, 362 riders of all categories competed of which two were from Spalding.

Matt Ellis, a club second claim member riding for Sherwood Pines SRAM and a member of the Lincolnshire Elite Athlete Programme, took fourth place in the Youth Male by finishing in 45:14.

He heads the league with four rounds still to go.

Mechanical difficulties made it a tough race for Stewart Elderkin who still managed to finish in 48th place.
