Multi-talented Market Deeping Tang Soo Do Martial Arts Club are officially the most successful team in their discipline in the United Kingdom.

They recently returned from the National Championships in Nottingham with more accolades than anybody – and with Connor Ireland as Junior National Grand Champion.

The club surpassed any expectation as it gained podium places in every division it entered.

This was demonstrated most profoundly by the new National Junior Black Belt Grand Champion Ireland, who achieved three golds in his divisions and scored more points than any other junior black belt.

Market Deeping’s dominance started in the very first categories as the three team form categories were decided. The South Lincolnshire aces won two of the categories and were placed second in the third.

In all, they entered 20 students and returned with an amazing 41 medals.

Club instructor Robbie Tyler said: “This club has a rich history of achievement and Connor should be very proud of his personal achievements, he was fantastic.

“This club continues to grow and develop and I was immensely proud of all the students that took part in the National Championships.

“Market Deeping Tang Soo Do has achieved more points in this competition than any other club in the UK and I would like to thank all members of the club for supporting each other and enabling this to be achieved.

“They all should be very proud of themselves.”
