Stuart Cunnington struck a hat-trick as second-placed Spalding men’s first team won 7-0 at rock-bottom Old
Southendian.

A short corner was duly dispatched into the bottom corner by Cunnington to open the scoring.

He doubled the lead just before half-time then Harry Vickers combined with Tom Everton for a third goal.

Everton, Vickers and Connor Allen scored before Cunnington rounded off his hat-trick.

Spalding ladies first team continued their excellent run with a harder than expected battle against basement side Cambridge University 3rd.

Georgina Maplethorpe finished off a mazy dribble, skipper Karen Timby added a second shortly afterwards and Maplethorpe made it 3-0.
