Bourne Grammar School will represent Lincolnshire for the first time at the regional round of the national schools netball competition at Leicester on January 31.
The under-14 team represented south Lincolnshire at the county tournament held at the new Priory Ruskin Academy in Grantham.
Bourne beat QEGS Horncastle 10-4, Boston High School 12-7, Toll Bar 13-2 and KGGS 7-5 to go through undefeated as group winners.
In the semi-final they saw off Stamford High 10-2 but lost 8-5 in the final against Priory LSST.
Bourne coach Jackie Mohan said: “The whole squad deserves to be congratulated on their tremendous achievement.
“Captain Amelia Gardner led by example at centre, supported by the centre court players Chloe Ladley, Georgia Morton and Gabby Marechal. Julia Eglin and Lily Gray defended with tenacity and determination. Lily Storer, Sinead Mandy and Polly Luscombe shot superbly throughout.
“Netball in Lincolnshire is extremely competitive and it is the first time in the school’s history that Bourne Grammar will be representing Lincolnshire at the regional round. The team now have a lot of hard training ahead.”
