GOLF: Gedney Hill duo off to Dubai for grand final

Two golfers from Gedney Hill have qualified to play in the grand final of the League to Dubai competition.

David Lord and Rob Newns played in the southern regional final at Tudor Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club, Maidstone, Kent.

The competition was extremely close with only four points separating the top 15 pairs.

Lord and Newns will be heading out to Dubai in March to play in the final.

Men’s Section

October Medal: 1 Chris Gilbert 67 nett, 2 ocb Jim Starbuck 68, 3 Steve Coe 68.

Seniors’ Section

Golden Oldies: Up to 70 years old - 1 David Lord 69 nett, 2 Peter Orbine 73. 71 to 75 years old - 1 Tom Penning 69, 2 Roy Howe 76. 76 years old and over - 1 Ron Walpole 73, 2 Dave Spridgen 100.

Ladies’ Section
