DARTS: Locals offered chance to face Tony O’Shea

Have your say

BDO Worlds Darts Championship runner-up Tony O’Shea is coming to Long Sutton in March – and local players still have the chance to take him on.

“The Silverback” knocked out Deeping legend Martin Adams en-route to reaching the final at Lakeside, before going down 7-5 to Dutchman Christian Kist in a thriller on Sunday night.

Englishman O’Shea is the star attraction at an exhibition at Long Sutton RBL on March 21, with qualifying matches already under way.

The next date is at the same venue tonight (January 18, 8.30pm), with the cost £3 to anybody wanting to enter.

There are also dates at Sutton Bridge RBL on January 25 and February 8 (both 8.30pm) and at Long Sutton RBL on February 15 (8.30pm). Women are eligible to compete at the qualifiers on January 18 and February 8.

All matches are 501 (best of three legs). Anybody wanting to attend the O’Shea exhibition as a non-player can buy tickets for £8.
