Holbeach & Fenland gymnasts competed in East Midlands tumble qualifiers in Leicester.
The club entered 11 gymnasts this year from across the range of disciplines.
First up in the morning was Lexi Withers competing at club level 3. She added the first medal by winning gold.
This was soon followed by Frank Thompson winning gold at national 3 level.
The afternoon session brought some excellent scores in the national 1 & 2 groups with Jodie Lenton, Shannon Chelsom, Ebony Weston and Danielle Taylor performing extremely well in large groups.
Chloe Wright finished in fifth place in national 1 girls 11/12 group and Callum Crisp just missed out on a medal in fourth.
The medal haul continued with Lydia Burton finishing in the bronze position of the national 2 girls and Kerry Chelsom also coming third in the national 1 girls 9/10 group.
The final medallist of the day was Tia Withers gaining gold in the national 2 girls 9/10 group.
This was the first competition of the year following changes to qualification for national semi-finals.
In order to qualify gymnasts had to pass range and conditioning as well as achieving gold or silver medal position at national level tumbles.
Frank and Tia had an anxious wait until the following Monday to have their scores confirmed and to know that they had made the requirements to represent the East Midlands in Birmingham in May.
