A DUO of teams boast two wins from two and more hefty breaks were made on another cracking night of Spalding and District League fixtures.
Consti C and Holbeach B both have 100 per cent records after two games, while big hitters Mick Johnson (O160) and Rob Childs (O190) weighed in with breaks of 71 and 67 respectively.
Consti’s win came against a Pyramid A side that won 7-0 on the opening day, as Mick Peet (R110) and Pat Bowman (R110) reeled off wins to seal a 5-2 success. Eric Wyer (R40) did make a 33 break for the Bourne side, while John Twell (R60) hit back with victory in the final frame.
Meanwhile, Holbeach were seeing off Crowland B by the same score. Ashley Dunn (R90) and Nigel Ward (R100) were their winners.
Cue ace Childs was on song for hosts Crowland, with scores of 50 and six in the 20s adding to his aforementioned 67 – but he was the sole winner for Crowland.
The big winners of the week were Consti B, who battered Gosberton 7-0. Bob Adams (R30), John Keeton (R30) and Johnson all won their frames soundly.
As well as his 71, magic Johnson made scores of 44, 42 and 32, while Adams made a 45 clearance.
Also on-song were Holbeach A and Pyramid B, who saw off Crowland A and Consti D 5-2 respectively. Veteran Hugh Pinner (O170) made 34 twice for Holbeach.
