Arron Pike has been chosen to represent Great Britain in the World Championships next year in America.
The 11-year-old, who lives in Spalding and is a student at Bourne Academy, started tang soo do in November 2013 – attending two lessons a week.
During the lessons he gets put through a tough regime which consists of sit-ups, press-ups and numerous stretching exercises as a warm-up followed by hard physical forms, stances, kicks, blocks and defensive moves.
During the two years Arron has graded several times where he not only had to demonstrate his competence in a physical test but had to learn basic commands in Korean and complete a written test.
Arron is now only three belts away from being a black belt and has started two new weapon disciplines, one being a bong and another being a dagger.
Arron has also come away with medals from national and European events.
