Archers from Silver Spoon Bowmen smashed records galore as they took part in the latest instalment of the Boston Indoor Series at the Peter Payne Sports Centre.
Shooting a Vegas round at the Friskney Bowmen-hosted event, the Spalding club dominated as club records rolled in most categories.Emily Must won the senior lady compound with a club record and personal best (PB) score. Dan Smith took the senior gents’ compound with the same score as fellow Silver Spoon ace Craig Shinkin, who was second. Meanwhile, Sam Newton landed the senior gents’ recurve with a new club record and PB, while Lynn Fisher came second in the senior ladies’ recurve – again with a club record and PB. Also a winner was Margaret Marsh in the senior ladies’ barebow with the customary club record and PB combination. Another to set a PB was Ian Prior, who came second in the junior gents’ recurve. The trio of Sam Newton, Emily Must and Lynn Fisher won the Team Trophy, with Lynn and John Fisher retaining the Husband and Wife Trophy.
