Holbeach and District AC members were right to suspect that Sunday’s match at Bell’s Bridge would be tough going.

Winning the Coronation Shield with a mere 900g of tiny rudd and roach was Jonathan Stubley.

His net would have been greater if he had not lost a good tench.

Second place went to Darren Crofts on end peg with 80 very tiny fish for 700g.

Alan Palmer was third with 630g.

The top three took most of their catch on squatt or pinkie.
