KEN Clark won Holbeach and District Angling Club’s Whistler Cup at a canter on Sunday.

After being handed a good draw at Leedsgate Bridge, Clark made no mistake.

Using single maggot hook bait, he boasted roach, bream and perch in his net of 19lbs 12oz.

Some way back in second spot, but pegging next to the winner, was Chris Newton with 10lbs 02oz.

Completing the top three was Roger Smith with 9lbs 08oz.

But that couldn’t prevent Jonathan Stubley being crowned club champion, with Smith runner-up.

The Holbeach DAC match is the sweep at Bell’s Bridge on Sunday, October 30. Draw is at 8am.
