Pinchbeck United get hat-trick of red cards in derby defeat at Boston Town in UCL Premier Division

Second-half stupidity showed that it could actually get even worse for Pinchbeck United after going 3-0 down.

James Gordon's reply gave some hope for the Knights to stage an incredible comeback.

But they were humiliated following three moments of madness.

Niall Hylton, Tony Edwards and Nathan Kelly were all sent off in a 15-minute spell which illustrated an appalling lack of discipline.

On the hour mark, Hylton's stamp was rightly punished with a red card.

Edwards was dismissed for an off-the-ball elbow in front of assistant referee David Lovell who alerted match official Daniel Cobbett to another foolish act of violent conduct.

Pinchbeck went down to eight men when Kelly sarcastically applauded the referee following a yellow card for a foul.

Late goals by substitute Patrick Muirhead and former Knights striker Alex Beck sealed the derby win for Boston Town.

Beck and man of the match Lee Beeson - who also ended last season with Pinchbeck - both fired doubles against their former club.

Beeson's deflected drive midway through the first half was allowed to stand following consultation with Natalie Hudson who raised her flag for offside in front of keeper Ricky Lovelace.

Dan Worthington's horrendous error inside the penalty box gifted a chance for Beck to make it 2-0 by finding the bottom corner.

Beeson cut inside on his left foot to add the Poachers' third goal just before half-time.

Gordon headed home Kelly's free-kick two minutes into the second period and perhaps Pinchbeck sensed they could get back into the contest.

But there was no chance when Hylton's early exit was soon followed by red cards for Edwards and Kelly.

Beck set up Muirhead for a tap-in and the final goal was ridiculously easy as Beeson's short corner found his team-mate to blast into the roof of the net.
