Round-up of pre-season action involving Spalding United, Holbeach United, Pinchbeck United and Bourne Town

Marcus Maddison netted for the second successive Saturday as Spalding United shared the spoils with Skegness Town in their pre-season friendly at the weekend.

Maddison took just 10 minutes to put the Tulips ahead in their latest outing against the United Counties League Premier Division North side.

Jordan Macleod then doubled Spalding's lead four minutes later with his third goal in two games since signing for the Northern Premier League club.

Skegness halved the deficit four minutes before the break and then secured a share of the spoils in the second period as Spalding made wholesale changes to their line-up in the latter stages.

The Tulips travel to Staveley Miners Welfare on Tuesday night before hosting Grimsby Town on Saturday at the Sir Halley Stewart ground in the Lincolnshire Senior Cup.

Holbeach United recorded a second successive pre-season victory as they ran out 4-0 winners at Thurlow Nunn League side Swaffham.

Phil Barnes' side had beaten Huntingdon Town 3-1 in midweek and were worthy winners in Norfolk thanks to goals from Fraser Bayliss, Aaron Eyett, Jordan Elston and Will Barnes.

The Tigers did suffer a setback though with club captain Nick Jackson going off injured and he's likely to miss to the trip to March Town on Tuesday night for their next pre-season action.

Pinchbeck United ran out 2-1 winners against Bourne Town in their friendly at Knight Street.
