HOCKEY: Celebration time at Long Sutton

Long Sutton finished the season on a high at the presentation evening on Saturday.

The club came together to celebrate in style after a tremendous campaign.

With a club full of both experience and youth, it was fantastic to see the awards shared between the ages.

With the men's second team gaining promotion as champions and the rest of the teams finishing mid-table, it was certainly a season worth remembering.

The course is open to adults of all ages and abilities on Wednesdays - April 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 (10.30-11.30am).

There is a weekly fee of £5 with a term rate offer of £20 for six weeks payable on the day.

Players will need normal PE gear and suitable trainers - no studs and shinpads if possible.

It is hoped that there will be sufficient interest following this initial course to continue the sessions through the summer months.
