Spalding High School pupil Hannah Willis produced a tremendous personal best performance to win bronze at the British Swimming Summer Championships.
The 16-year-old was representing the City of Peterborough Swimming Club at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
She had five events in total, and her best result was in the 50m backstroke at a competition where only the top one per cent of British swimmers in each discipline are invited to attend.
In the morning heats, she managed a time of 30.40s which qualified her in seventh place for the evening final.
However, in the final she pulled out a fabulous personal best time of 30s dead which won her the bronze medal.
