GOLF: Hundreds raised for cancer charity




Tydd St Giles seniors played the annual Bob Johns Classic open format fourball team Stableford event in aid of Cancer Research UK.

Sponsor and co-organiser John Leake announced that on the day £447 was raised for the charity.

The winning team was Barry Ellis, Matt Houchen, John Forbes and Steve Embleton (Coveris from Wisbech) with 127 points.

Runners-up on countback were Chris Moore, Toby North, Lee Newman and Liz Miller (Tydd) on 120.
