Rafa Mazzarella picked up his first competitive win as Bourne Town manager – and will look for his first league victory on Saturday.

The Wakes outgunned St Neots Town Youth & Saints 4-2 in the Hinchingbrooke Cup first round on Tuesday night.

Harry Williams broke the deadlock before Cardin Pierre-Liverpool doubled the home advantage from the spot. He headed in the third goal and Dan Bratcher added another.

Bourne will be away to
Yaxley or Saffron Walden in the quarter-final.

But the main focus will be on three points in Division One at home to Buckingham Town on Saturday.

Mazzarella said: “I’m pleased with how we are maturing quickly and learning.”
