Daventry Utd 2 Holbeach Utd 4: SIMON Mowbray scored a brace and set up another as the ten-man Tigers battled back from two down on Saturday.
Early strikes from Will Briscoe and Darren Frost looked to have Holbeach on course for a third defeat on the spin.
But Shaun Keeble, Mowbray and Tommy Treacher all struck to make it five wins in seven games for John Chand’s side.
However, there were negatives to come out of the UCL Premier Division tussle.
Midfielder Pete Smith suffered a broken metatarsal and will miss the remainder of the season, while Nick Brown was given a straight red card for violent conduct late on.
But Chand was still delighted with his charges.
He said: “All in all, I’m pretty satisfied with our day’s work. It was a relatively good display, but the most pleasing aspect was that we came from 2-0 down to win.
“We’ve not done that many times this season.”
Looking to avenge their Carter’s Park defeat of two weeks ago, Daventry took the lead when Briscoe raced onto a long ball over the top.
It was 2-0 soon after, Frost scoring from the spot after a Dean Elston foul.
But back came Holbeach, as Mowbray set up Keeble for their first after Wes Lewis had crashed a stunner off the bar.
Mowbray himself then rounded the keeper to level matters before the break.
Two carbon-copy goals in the second half then secured the points. First Mowbray latched onto a slack pass back to fire Holbeach ahead, then strike partner Treacher wrapped up the points.
