TIGERS: Chand looks to utilise new faces

HOLBEACH United get their pre-season schedule under way tonight – and boss John Chand is looking forward to seeing his new recruits in action.

Visitors Soham Town Rangers are are expected to provide a tough test for the new look Tigers at Carter’s Park (7.45pm).

But Chand is unlikely to field any established first team players, with priority being given to trialists and fresh faces.

Among the players on trial will be former Boston Town and Deeping Rangers defender Ben Brown, who is expected to sign after the game.

Chand said: “A lot of the lads have nothing to prove and will play 90 minutes against Oadby on Saturday.

“I need to take a look at our new players in what should be a tricky game.”

Paul Goodhand, Lewis Brooks, Adam Jackson, Andrew Tidswell and Lawrence Lambley are all likely to start.
