Having lost their first game of the season, Pinchbeck Girls under 14s are now unbeaten in their last three.

Visitors Histon were the better of the sides in the early exchanges and only a left handed save from Pinchbeck keeper Rachel Gibbs prevented them going ahead.

Excellent close dribbling skills from Pinchbeck’s Freya Peters gave striker Annie Vayro a couple of chances to give her side the lead. But it was Histon who scored from a deep cross scrambled in to make it 1-0.

Within minutes, Pinchbeck had equalized. A shot from Peters was pushed away by the Histon keeper, but Vayro was on hand to put away the follow up.

A long ball to Vayro saw her combine with Peters, who scored with a low shot to make it 2-1 to Pinchbeck just before half time.

The second half saw more Pinchbeck pressure, with Peters, Vayro and sub Nese Van Der Werf coming close, but no more goals came from either team, with the game ending 2-1 to Pinchbeck.
