Star striker Andy Tidswell and fellow frontman Josh Ford were guests of honour when Spalding United held their youth awards evening at the Sir Halley Stewart Field on Saturday.

They proved ideal role models for the youngsters as Tidswell has just shared the UCL golden boot award with Jason Turner after the pair hit 30 goals while Ford came through the ranks to play in the first team for the Tulips.

The club stage their senior awards at Springfields on Saturday.
