Spalding United’s trip to Wisbech Town is the only major fixture to survive after the Saturday sporting schedule was again badly hit by the weather.
The Tulips’ UCL Premier Division derby with the Fenmen was widely expected to fall foul of the heavy rain, but the pitch amazingly passed an 11am inspection on Saturday morning.
Meanwhile, Deeping Rangers’ tasty-looking trip to AFC Rushden and Diamonds was called off on Friday evening, as was Bourne Town’s UCL Division One match at Northampton Spencer.
In rugby, Spalding RFC’s Midlands Two East (N) fixture at Melbourne also fell foul of the weather.
