Spalding United took another step towards the promotion play-offs thanks to three first-half goals on Easter Monday.

The Tulips remain fourth in the Evo-Stik League First Division South following a comfortable home win over Lincoln United.

Matty Nolan curled in the opener on 15 minutes, Dan Banister doubled the lead on 26 minutes and Nathan Stainfield headed home two minutes before the break.

Deeping Rangers overturned an early deficit to win 2-1 at Boston Town in the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League’s Premier Division.

Lee Orrey put the Poachers ahead just five minutes into their final home game of the season but Spencer Tinkler levelled from the penalty spot on 27 minutes.

Jamie Graham got the winner on 76 minutes before Joe Braithwaite was sent off. Before the final whistle Boston were also reduced to ten men.

Both teams also had a player dismissed during the goalless draw between Wisbech Town and Holbeach United.

Bourne Town came from behind to beat Blackstones 2-1 at Abbey Lawn.

A first-half penalty for the Stamford side was cancelled out by Zak Munton and the winner was scored by Aaron Jesson.
