Teenage defender Paul Walker has decided to join Spalding United.
The youth-team graduate at Grimsby Town turned down offers from several clubs at a higher level to agree a deal with the Tulips.
Spalding boss Pat Rayment said: “We’ve been pursuing him for the last four weeks so I’m really excited to have him on board.
“Paul is a great prospect with a lot of potential.
“He has been a major target for us and he had other options. I’m delighted to welcome him to the club.
“He is fully developed with a great physique. I’m told he’s very quick which is an asset.
“It was a big loss when Jamie Stevens rejoined Holbeach United but we are going in the right direction with players like Paul who are young and hungry.
“We fought off considerable interest from other clubs. We met him in Grimsby on Saturday and we’ve done the right things to woo him.”
