Spalding United v Cogenhoe United (Saturday, 3pm): SPALDING are bidding to extend their unbeaten run to four games – but they’ll have to do it without Jammal Shahin.

The talented winger, dubbed “the best player in the UCL” by Tulips boss Andy Stanhope, has joined Brigg Town.

Shahin (pictured) made a scoring debut for the Evo-Stik League side on Saturday, notching in Saturday’s 3-1 success at Quorn.

He won’t be a massive loss for Spalding though, having featured sparingly over the past two months.

Minus Shahin, the Tulips will be looking to finish their 2011 Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field schedule in style against struggling Cogenhoe.

Stanhope’s side are without a UCL Premier Division game next weekend, before finishing the year with trips to Peterborough Northern Star (Boxing Day) and Daventry United (December 31).

The Cooks come into the clash in the bottom seven, but they have played six fewer games than the Tulips. They have won just one of their last four games.
