Holbeach United Reserves lost their 15th ChromaSport & Trophies Peterborough & District Premier Division game of the season when they suffered a 4-1 humbling by Thorney at Carter’s Park.
A goal by Luke Gallagher after just two minutes set the visitors on their way before a 17-minute hat-trick by Charley Sanders put the game out of Holbeach’s reach, for whom Cymon Lambe scored a consolation.
There was far better news for Moulton Harrox who ran out 4-1 winners over Sawtry at Broad Lane, with Ian Bradbury the hero after scoring a hat-trick.
Ashley Coddington scored the other goal for Harrox who did however let Hayden Bream score a consolation for the visitors.
Bottom-of-the-table Crowland slipped to a lone goal defeat away to Stilton, who kept alive their outside title hopes with a second half goal.
Matt Eaton helped himself to a hat-trick as Sutton Bridge hit Oundle for six in Division One. Ben Partridge, Kurt Scott and Joseph Sutton were also on target in the emphatic home win.
Spalding Reserves maintained their four-point lead at the top of Division Two when Jamie Casey and Jake Farrell edged them home 2-1 away to Ketton Reserves.
Pinchbeck Reserves came back from 2-0 down at half-time to force a 2-2 draw at home to Parkside thanks to goals from Liam Lachasseigne and Tyler Wright.
Baston Reserves’ faint Division Three championship hopes were all but snuffed out after going down at home to Hampton Sport in a seven-goal thriller.
Michael Hasler and Ben Hudson were their scorers.
Spalding Town’s challenge also faltered when they were held 2-2 away to Glinton and Northborough.
They were 2-1 up at half-time via Markus Parry and Ashley Wilson, but the home side levelled on 70 minutes.
