Spalding United manager Pat Rayment has praised the ability and character of his Tulips squad, describing them as the best he has ever worked with.
The Tulips host Loughborough Dynamo on Saturday (3pm), looking to repeat one of their best displays of the season.
Dynamo, who beat Brigg Town 9-0 on Tuesday, were top of the Evo-Stik First Division South when Spalding tore them to pieces in September.
Andy Tidswell and Mitch Griffiths both scored twice in a 6-0 away victory and Rayment would love more of the same.
He said: “We were brilliant that day and I would love to win 6-0 again, but the only thing that really matters is picking up three points.
“We are in great form and have lost just once in 16, but whereas Manchester United are winning despite playing poorly we are winning and playing very well.
“I have never had such a great squad as this before. There is so much ability and great togetherness.
“From youngsters like George Stainfield and Lewis McKue to experienced players like Chris Hall, Michael Leary and Lee Clarke, this is a fantastic squad to work with.
“It’s a juggling act to keep everyone happy and give them all game time.
“But they know they have to perform because they just have to look across to see who I have sitting on the bench who can come on and replace them. We have to keep this momentum going, though.
“Stocksbridge Park Steels beat Newcastle Town and Kidsgrove Athletic won at Mickleover Sports so anyone can beat anyone in this league and we have to stay focused.”
Spalding are at full strength with the exception of Lewis Webb, who will be out until the new year with a hamstring injury.
