Desborough Town 0 Deeping Rangers 1
Scott Ginty’s low drive from the edge of the box extended Deeping’s winning run to three matches.
Rangers could have won by more but manager Tuncay Korkmaz was delighted with his side’s defensive display as they kept their fifth clean sheet in 11 UCL matches.
He said: “The goalkeeper and the defence really put in a shift so I was very pleased with the clean sheet.
“Scott took his goal very well. His first touch was great and he then opened up his body and fired it low to the keeper’s left.
“It would have been nice to score more goals but the important thing is we are creating chances.
“It’s a tough league but we would like to go on a decent run now and, even if we can’t win every match, we must try and avoid defeat.”
Both keepers were tested early on before Ginty’s 20th-minute goal, which gave Deeping their sixth win in the last seven seasons at the Waterworks Field.
